Corporate Giving

Giving back to the health care community is a significant part of the ZurickDavis team's values. Whether it is raising funds for the humanitarian efforts of Doctors Without Borders, or local charity bike and running events to raise money for The Samaritans and The Floating Hospital for Children, we believe volunteering our time and giving defines who we are, both as individuals, and as an organization.

Anita Karcz, ZurickDavis SVP, volunteered at Fenway Park to give out literature to raise awareness of Fragile X Syndrome. The volunteers were coordinated by Denise Devine, Anita's sister and active leader of the Western Massachusetts Fragile X Foundation.

ZurickDavis was proud to sponsor the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers Annual Gala. Established in 1972, the Mass League is a non-profit, statewide association representing and serving the needs of the state's 50 community health center organizations with more than 300 total access sites. Susan Servais, ZurickDavis SVP, and James W. Hunt Jr., President and CEO of the Mass League, at the event.

MAPSCorps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based on Chicago’s South Side where the idea was born. The organization grew out of the South Side Health and Vitality Studies, led by the research laboratory of Stacy Tessler Lindau, MD, MAPP, at the University of Chicago. Dr. Lindau presented a Webinar for ZurickDavis on her work and we donated to MAPSCorps as a thank you. You can download her slides and watch her Webinar here. Beginning in 2009, in collaboration with a broad range of community stakeholders and university researchers, this work gave life to the MAPSCorps program, now in its eighth consecutive year providing meaningful work experience and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Health) training to high school youth. In 2016, MAPSCorps became an independent nonprofit, with successful programs covering nearly half of Chicago and several ZIP codes of Harlem and the Bronx in New York City. In summer 2016, MAPSCorps will expand in Chicago and New York City and to Niagara Falls, NY and Nash and Edgecombe Counties, NC. MAPSCorps also helped inspire the Local Asset Mapping Program in the Liberties area of Dublin, Ireland.

ZurickDavis sponsored the local North Suburban YMCA summer 5K road race. The North Suburban YMCA serves Woburn, Burlington, Winchester, Lexington and Arlington and is one of the community's leading social service providers.

ZD employee and Charlestown resident, Annette Cooke led a Food Drive for her local food pantry, Harvest on the Vine in Charlestown, MA. Residents of 275 Medford, where Annette lives, kindly donated boxes of cereal and bags of rice between April 15th and May 15th. The goal was to collect 275 items (from 275 Medford), and thanks to the additional support and generosity of ZurickDavis, the target was met.  Harvest on the Vine is housed at St. Mary and St. Catherine of Sienna parish. It serves any resident of Charlestown who is in need, regardless of religious affiliation. Food is distributed twice monthly by a dedicated staff of volunteers.

Founded in 1970, Lowell Community Health Center provides comprehensive primary care and a range of specialty services, regardless of ability to pay. The Building Bridges Gala raised $280,000 toward the expansion of the Lowell Community Health Center.
