Princeton is a world-renowned research university with a vibrant community of scholarship, research, and teaching that seeks to live up to its informal motto, “In the Nation’s Service and the Service of Humanity.” The University has a profound commitment to undergraduate education with a low student-to-faculty ratio and a curriculum that emphasizes learning, creativity, innovation, and collaboration with a program of liberal arts in the humanities, arts, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. Each year, faculty members receive numerous national and international honors recognizing their scholarship and research. The current faculty includes 10 Nobel laureates.
Princeton University Health Services seeks an innovative, high-energy physician to serve as Associate Director of Medical Services. The Associate Director will provide leadership and management of outpatient medical services and will partner with the Director of Medical Services at a signal moment in the life of University Health Services—with new recognition of the vital role Medical Services plays in the campus community, new resources, and the imminent move to a state-of-the-art building, designed to support an integrative medical care model. Princeton looks forward to welcoming a new Associate Director to join in developing the strategy to fulfill a vision for a holistic care and to become one of the best university health services in the country.
Reporting to the Director of Medical Services (DMS), the Associate Director will partner with the DMS, helping to shape and define the vision for UHS Outpatient Medical Services, and will be charged with operationalizing quality medical care practices for Princeton’s students. The Associate Director will oversee the staff of UHS Medical Services including physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, a dietitian, and radiology technologist. As Director of Medical Services' deputy, when the DMS is absent, the Associate Director will support all Medical Services, including working directly with the area directors for Athletic Medicine and Occupational Health, and serve as the primary point of contact for Medical Services for UHS leadership, campus partners and University administration.
