SUMMARY
BHCHP is an integrated team of over 600 medical and behavioral health clinicians, social service providers, and support staff committed to delivering, or assuring access to, comprehensive, equitable, high-quality health care for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Boston and beyond. With direct care clinics in over 30 shelters, a vibrant street medicine program, two medical respite facilities, and anchor clinics at Boston Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital, BHCHP provides medical care, behavioral health care, youth and family services, and case management to more than 10,000 adults and children every year.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Boston Health Care for the Homeless (BHCHP) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who embodies a strong dedication to BHCHP's mission, social justice, and visionary leadership. BHCHP is looking for an experienced healthcare leader committed to delivering the highest quality of care and excellence to Boston's vulnerable homeless population.
THE POSITION
The CEO will collaborate closely and work with the BHCHP Board of Directors, who will provide strategic guidance for the organization. Using exceptional interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills, combined with sharp business acumen and a keen understanding of the health care delivery and financing environment, the CEO is responsible for leading its employees in order to ensure strategic and operational excellence by managing all aspects of BHCHP activity. Focused on the organization's mission, the CEO maintains the highest standards by motivating staff in a collegial, equitable and approachable manner. The CEO will ensure sound financial operations; oversee program management and development; empower staff by encouraging a supportive, inclusive and engaging culture; oversee fund development; and lead the strategic and annual planning process. The CEO will also serve as the face of BHCHP, facilitating relationships with political, business, hospital and community leaders, and other stakeholders.
