Their 25+ community-based and residential programs serve thousands of at-risk youths from birth to age 26. Many of these children have experienced abuse, neglect, trauma, or a disrupted family life. As the oldest child welfare agency in America, The Home provides them with safe surroundings, permanent loving relationships, and a secure path toward a better, brighter future.


The Home for Little Wanderers (The Home) is looking for an experienced financial executive to be its next Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO), responsible for overseeing the finance and administrative functions within a progressive organization that operates in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York. This is an opportunity for a seasoned and highly credible financial leader to be part of the team leading this venerable - yet dynamic and growing - organization serving an important mission.


Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) serves on the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams. The CFAO is responsible for all the financial functions of The Home, as well as facilities, information technology, risk management, contract management, and Human Resources.  The CFAO partners with the CEO and the executive team to develop strategies and enable operations to meet The Home’s objectives of ensuring that all children grow up in safe and loving families.  While in-person time is required to establish relationships and build credibility when the CFAO starts work, a hybrid remote/in-person work arrangement is possible.
