SUMMARY

Lowell Community Health Center is seeking a Chief of Family Medicine who will be the provider leader for the Department of Family Medicine.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity for a mission-driven physician leader to bring a quality Family Health service to the underserved population of Lowell, Massachusetts. The Chief will collaborate with talented leadership to ensure that the highest standards of care are provided within the department and across the organization. This position will be responsible for the development of clinical and administrative processes within the respective department that enhance the health center’s vision of clinical quality, safety, and excellent patient experience.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Chief of Family Medicine will collaborate with the department leadership team to plan/operationalize emerging clinical models and health care transformation to value based care and the Patient-Centered Medical Home, including the clinical processes in the integration efforts of Primary Care with Behavioral Health, oral health, vision care, and the like. S/he will work closely with the CMO to implement a strong organization-wide approach to optimizing clinical quality, including organizing and prioritizing quality measures, communicating performance expectations, monitoring performance, and leading efforts to improve performance. The Chief will provide input on the development and execution of the Strategic plan of Lowell Community Health Center. In implementing these strategic initiatives, S/he will partner with department leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and adequate provider coverage/availability, while also meeting departmental financial goals. This position has the responsibility of clinical administration and direct patient care. The new Chief will create high standards and develop strategies for accountability within the department.
