SUMMARY

This is an opportunity for a skilled senior care executive to lead The Reutlinger Community, a five-star, low-deficiency, $20 million not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Danville, CA. The Reutlinger Community has recently become part of Eskaton, a $209 million highly diversified nonprofit senior care organization serving most of northern California.  Well woven into the fabric of the greater Danville community, TRC is also a member of the Association of Jewish Aging Services (AJAS).

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting directly to the CEO of Eskaton, the Executive Director (ED) of The Reutlinger Community must be a dynamic, hands-on leader who has demonstrated success running a senior care organization from a quality, financial, cultural, community, and managerial/operational perspectives.  S/he will have the opportunity to lead The Reutlinger Community with the full backing and many resources of Eskaton.  

THE POSITION

The right candidate for this position must have demonstrated leadership in senior care through running all or parts of a skilled nursing or assisted living facility, ideally with some involvement in both.  Experience turning around or significantly improving organizational performance is an important qualification.  Other valuable experience includes driving culture change, prolonged managerial success, successfully working with unions, responsible fiscal management, and maintaining high scores for quality, service excellence, and all forms of satisfaction.
