Meeting Member Needs in a Connected World – Managing a 21st Century Not-for-Profit
Since 1978, the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium (MHDC) has convened health industry leadership across the Commonwealth to solve shared information and technology challenges. While convening these participants remains an essential service, the very nature of “convening” has changed dramatically. Webinar technology and on-line social and professional networks have lowered the costs and barriers to collaboration among groups of shared interest while raising the stakes for compelling content and tangible benefits. Harnessing these and other technologies to advance member value is essential to sustaining and growing member engagement in a post-modern economy. Our speaker, Denny Brennan, is MHDC’s Executive Director and CEO of the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium (MHDC).
Mr. Brennan brings more than twenty-five years of experience as a consultant and entrepreneur working with the country’s leading healthcare organizations on strategy, organizational effectiveness, and information and technology management. He brings specialized expertise in assisting organizations in aligning healthcare information and business strategies for success under increased market competition and health reform. His areas of emphasis include strategic and financial planning, organization structure and development, formation and management of Accountable Care Organizations, payment and reimbursement reform, and information technology strategy, including health information governance, security, and exchange.
Mr. Brennan earned his Masters in Education from Harvard University and his Masters in Business Administration from Yale University.
