ZDinsights Webinar: The Art of the Interview
From an attendee: ” Lida, I wanted to drop a note of thanks for your Art of The Interview presentation this week. It’s so easy to get tangled up in the drama of a job opportunity and overlook or assume the fundamentals you covered. Thanks for the reminders on basic image management and professional engagement skills, as well as the overview of the process from the placement agency and employer perspective.”

Whether you are a master interviewer or a novice interviewee, this webinar provides perspective and techniques that will increase your interviewing awareness, depth and finesse. Our presenter, Lida Junghans, PhD, Vice President at ZurickDavis, began her formal interviewing practice as an anthropologist in the People’s Republic of China, and, later in academic medical centers. For the last twenty years, she has conducted hundreds of interviews in the context of higher education and health care leadership searches.
Lida learned the craft of interviewing as a cultural anthropologist, conducting research in Mandarin in the People’s Republic of China, and later in Boston’s teaching hospitals. When her peers were heading into ivory towers, Lida chose the road less traveled, into the field of executive search. She learned the trade in a firm dedicated to leadership searches for institutions that serve the public good and are essential to creating an educated citizenry in the domains of higher education, philanthropy and research foundations. Since joining ZurickDavis in 2012, she has developed expertise in recruiting for the healthcare sectors we serve, and has especially enjoyed engaging with search committees and treating each new assignment as a mini-ethnographic research project.
Lida is certified in mediation and has served as a hospice volunteer. She earned her B.A. from the College of William and Mary. She received Masters degrees in Anthropology and Regional Studies-East Asia and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Harvard University.
