Deni Auclair

Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Deni Auclair began her career in Finance as a hedge fund analyst in White Plains, NY. Prior to that, she spent 13 years in publishing, including a stint at Sports Illustrated as a reporter. In 1996 she joined scholarly publisher John Wiley & Sons, based in NYC and Hoboken, NJ, as VP, Corporate Development, leading their M&A operations, helping build the company from $600 million to $2 billion in revenue over her 12-year tenure. She was also an adjunct professor at NYU’s Graduate School of Professional Studies for many years.

In 2010, Deni stepped into the CFO role at JBJS (Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery) in Needham, MA, moving in 2013 to a consultant role, first with a market research firm as VP & Lead Analyst for Science, Technology, and Healthcare, then another as CFO and Lead Analyst. Immediately prior to joining Zurick Davis, Deni worked as Editorial Director for German publisher De Gruyter while leading her own consultancy. She now works as a fractional CFO and business manager for several organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit, enjoying the diversity of clients and their needs.

Deni lives in Dover, MA with her family of dogs and cats, avidly volunteering as treasurer of The Cat Connection cat rescue. She has also been an official and administrator with USA Boxing, the governing body of US Olympic boxing, for over four decades, serving as local (NYC) and national treasurer. She is also Vice President of the US Amateur Boxing Foundation. Deni attended Bates College and earned her MBA in Finance at NYU Stern School of Business.
