Vice President
“What impresses me about ZurickDavis is the depth of knowledge about the health care landscape and the mutual trust, respect, and genuine camaraderie among all the members of the team.”
Lida joined ZurickDavis in 2012 and enjoys applying her training as a social anthropologist to the task of understanding the unique organizational cultures of the clients who are our partners. Prior to joining ZurickDavis, Lida led searches for deans and vice presidents in higher education, and for program officers and senior leaders in international philanthropies and research foundations. She is fluent in Mandarin and Italian, and has extensive international experience, including as a research associate at the Harvard University Asia Center, where she consults on China-related public health projects.
Lida’s training in qualitative research methodologies provides a substantive foundation for her work assisting institutions through times of leadership change. Before entering the consulting field in 1999, she conducted ethnographic research in the People’s Republic of China and at several of Boston’s academic medical centers while teaching at Harvard University.
Lida is certified in mediation and has served as a hospice volunteer. She earned her B.A. from the College of William and Mary. She received Masters degrees in Anthropology and Regional Studies-East Asia and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Harvard University.
