Senior Vice President
Susan Servais joined the ZurickDavis team in 2016 and comes with 35 years of experience in the health care sector. Over her career, she has worked with providers, insurers, health trade associations, private and public corporations and organizations, and government officials.
Her knowledge and experience in non-profit management, strategic planning, and government affairs is well known. Susan has worked closely for many years with government officials and top-level health care leaders, bringing them together to develop strategies and discuss critical health care issues. Her expertise as a convener and facilitator and her knowledge of the concerns of the many diverse sectors of the health care arena has led her to be called upon as a discussion leader for a wide range of groups who are concerned about health care issues.
Susan started her career in microbiology and infectious disease research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her role as a Director at Melrose Wakefield Hospital provided her with an inside look at the complexities in hospital management. Susan became the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Health Council, a non-profit health advocacy organization where she worked for 27 years before joining the ZurickDavis team. Her work to improve the health of Massachusetts residents brought her a great deal of recognition. Susan was the recipient of the highest honor from the MA Women’s Political Caucus – the 2014 Abigail Adams Award. In 2013, she was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to his Prevention and Wellness Trust Advisory Board. In 2008, she made the Boston Magazine Power List as one of the 100 most influential people in Massachusetts. In 2007, she was asked to moderate a program for the National Convention of State Legislators, which met in Boston that year.
She holds a BS in Biology and Computer Science from Simmons College, a certification in Health Information Administration from Northeastern University, and is certified by the American Society of Association Executives as a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
